Pet Loss Grief Recovery

The grief that comes with any emotional loss can be overwhelming, and very isolating. Often people find that those they normally count on for emotional support are at a total loss when it comes to offering effective and meaningful assistance. They will often give you logical reasons why you should not feel bad, but that rarely helps. Grief is emotional, not logical. You are suffering from a broken heart, not a broken head. The fact that you are seeking help in dealing with your emotional pain is not a sign of weakness, but rather a recognition on your part that you are interested in taking recovery action.

The Grief Recovery Method

The Grief Recovery Method® is a programme of guided self-help for anyone who has experienced a loss due to the death of someone important in their life, the end of a relationship, or one of over 40 significant life events that evoke grief.

A course consisting of between six to eight sessions teaches you how to let go of the pain, so you are able to enjoy your positive memories and lead a happier life.

Recovery is Possible

You don’t have to wait any longer

The Grief Recovery Method has steps that you can take to heal from the big and small losses in life. Step-by-step you will learn what actions are required for healing. You will have an opportunity to talk privately about your own pain and you will hear others talk about theirs if you attend group sessions. You will see that all of us hurt and most of us were misinformed about what to do about it. You will learn why the things you were taught about pain and grief haven’t been working for you.

Together we will work through the Grief Recovery Method until you have cleared up the painful situation in your life. You will learn skills that really work, and you will walk away with the experience to do it again any time you feel pain. By participating in group work, you will have the added benefit of connecting with others who understand the process and can support you in time to come.

In-person one-to-one, group or online mentoring are all available.
